Greg Simon Named Executive Director for the White House's Cancer Moonshot Task Force

Washington, DC, March 18, 2016 – Friends of Cancer Research would like to congratulate Greg Simon on being named executive director of the White House’s Cancer Moonshot Task Force.

Simon, a cancer survivor himself, co-founded FasterCures, an organization dedicated to saving lives by speeding up and improving medical research. Additionally, he has worked as the Senior Vice President for Patient Engagement at Pfizer and has held positions in both chambers of Congress and the White House.

“Greg Simon has extraordinary experience that is perfectly suited to this position,” said Ellen Sigal, chairperson and founder of Friends of Cancer Research. “We know Greg will do a fantastic job leading this important initiative, and we look forward to working with him toward the goal of conquering cancer.”
