Friends of Cancer Research CEO to Testify During First House PDUFA Reauthorization Hearing

The first House PDUFA reauthorization hearing is scheduled to take place at 10:15 am ET today, Wednesday, March 22, 2017, in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Friends of Cancer Research President & CEO Dr. Jeff Allen will testify as to the importance of user fees during today’s hearing, along with FDA’s Dr. Janet Woodcock and representatives from the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

“For the people who currently depend on safe and effective medicines, for those who are holding strong for the breakthroughs to come, and for every future patient, there isn’t time to waste,” said Dr. Allen. “We urge Congress to swiftly pass this sixth reauthorization of PDUFA.”
