Samantha Roberts, Science Policy Analyst Print E-mail

Samantha Roberts, PhD serves as a Science Policy Analyst at Friends of Cancer Research (Friends), a Washington D.C, based think tank and non-profit organization dedicated to accelerating the nation’s progress toward prevention and treatment of cancer by educating the public and members of congress.

Prior to joining Friends, Dr. Roberts was a post-doctoral fellow with the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (FDA-CBER) where she studied the immune response to Francisella tularensis. Dr. Roberts obtained her PhD at Emory University by studying the modulation of virulence in Streptococcus pyogenes, and earned a BA in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Wittenberg University. Her background spans genetics, microbiology, and immunology and she is published in several research journals.
