Lorraine Kammerer, MA serves as Senior Manager, Corporate Development at Friends of Cancer Research (Friends), a Washington, D.C. based non-profit organization dedicated to accelerating the nation's progress toward prevention and treatment of cancer by mobilizing public support for cancer research funding and providing education on key public policy issues.

Ms. Kammerer specializes in corporate, foundation, and independent development, including gift annuities and restricted funding. Kammerer has an impressive background and successful track record in development and fundraising. Prior to joining friends she headed the Development Department of the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Washington DC.

She has lived in Washington Metro area for over three years working regionally and nationally, fundraising for cancer research, treatments, and patients services. Lorraine has been a member of the League of Woman's Voters, a Certified Victims Services Advocate, and a volunteer in cancer community. Lorraine graduated with a Masters Degree in Sociology from Western Illinois University where she is a native of the Chicago area.
