Lindsey Martin serves as Senior Development Manager at Friends of Cancer Research (Friends), a Washington, D.C. based non-profit organization   dedicated to accelerating the nation's progress toward prevention and treatment of cancer by mobilizing public support for cancer research funding and providing education on key public policy issues. 

Ms. Martin’s fundraising background includes both political and nonprofit work, specializing in corporate, individual and foundation gifts. Prior to joining Friends, she was Director of Individual Giving for the Greater Washington Region of the American Heart Association, where she managed the second largest individual giving campaign in the country for the 2008-2009 fiscal year. Prior to the AHA, she worked under Chairman Tom Cole at the National Republican Congressional Committee, managing its top-tier donor groups. Ms. Martin has worked for numerous campaigns and grassroots organizations, including the Republican Jewish Coalition, President George W. Bush’s re-election campaign and the 55^th Presidential Inaugural Committee.

Ms. Martin has lived in Washington for five years, after receiving her bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from Washington University in St. Louis. She is a member of the National Association of Fundraising Professionals and volunteers for local nonprofit organizations.
